Increased expenses alleviated by shared housing.
We attended the Town Hall Meeting on Tax Abatement hosted at Hollywood Senior Center. The community room was filled with folks who voiced concern about increased tax burden while struggling to meet their expenses. This meeting was arranged by Elders in Action.

What could you do with an extra $7000 in your pocket?
- Contribute to a charity?
- Save for a better retirement?
- Travel?
- Upgrade to a better living arrangement?
- Make home improvements? Upgrade your home for aging in place?
- Share in the cost of in-home care?
- Gift funds to grandchildren?
- Stop struggling to meet day to day expenses?
Better financial health is just one element to take into consideration when thinking about shared housing.
